Imran Khan is the most successful PM Pakistan ever had

After Liyakat Ali, all prime ministers were hand picked by generals when they were relatively unknown, groomed and then put on chair. They were encouraged to be corrupt, and take minor decisions. The country was run by army. When army was fed up or when the pm acted independently, corruption was used to push them aside. Sword of corruption cases always hung over their neck. Some like Jamali saw the fruitlessness of holding the post and quit on their own.

But not our Kaptaan.

Imran Khan made a deal with generals to destabilize Nawaz Sharif, but Nawaz lasted his full term, and then Imran allowed generals to manipulate elections and those who were elected, to become PM.

He declared that he and generals are on same page, placed their men wherever asked to place, followed all their advises, even handed over the power to run economy to army chief. No cribbing, no complaint, just did what was asked.

During all this he remained absolutely honest.

Zero corruption. When the economy went downhill and generals wanted to get rid of him, they found to their dismay that there is no valid reason to sack him. They are as much part of failure publicly as PM is. Result, Imran Khan continues. First time army can not blame civilians.

First time in Pakistan history, it is the generals who take the rap.
